Information We Collect

Analytics data — We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This service collects anonymised data including pages visited, session duration, device type, browser, and approximate geographic location (country/city level). No personally identifiable information is shared with Google via Analytics. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Comment data — When you leave a comment, we collect your name, email address, website (optional), and comment text, along with your IP address and browser user agent string to assist in spam detection. Your email address is used only for Gravatar profile picture lookup and is not made public.

Newsletter subscriptions — If you subscribe to email updates via our newsletter, we collect your email address for the sole purpose of sending you site updates. Subscriptions are managed via Jetpack (Automattic). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send.

Contact form submissions — If you contact us via the Contact page, we collect your name, email address, and message. This information is used only to respond to your enquiry.

Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics sets cookies to track session data and returning visits. These are governed by Google’s privacy policy.
  • Comment cookies — If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies for future visits. These last for one year.
  • WordPress session cookies — Used only by logged-in administrators. These expire when you close your browser or within two weeks at most.

Most browsers allow you to control or disable cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may affect some functionality of the site.

Embedded Content

Articles on this site may include embedded content from third-party platforms (such as videos or social media posts). Embedded content behaves exactly as if the visitor has visited that platform directly, and those platforms may collect data about you, set cookies, and track your interaction with that content, including if you have an account and are logged in.

Google Search Console Integration

Prime Time Takes uses the Manny Wenas SEO plugin, which connects to the Google Search Console API via OAuth 2.0. This connection is used exclusively by the site administrator to access aggregated search performance data — such as total clicks, impressions, average position, and click-through rate — for pages on this site.

This integration does not collect or process any personal data belonging to site visitors. The data accessed consists of aggregated statistics about how this site appears in Google Search results, and is visible only to the site owner. No visitor-level data is involved.

Google’s handling of data accessed via this integration is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process data related to this site:

Data Retention

Comment data (name, email, comment content, and IP address) is retained indefinitely to enable spam detection and moderation of follow-up comments. Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your message, typically no longer than 90 days. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted by Google.

Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure — You may request deletion of your personal data, subject to any legal obligations to retain it.
  • Objection — You may object to processing of your data for certain purposes.
  • Portability — You may request transfer of your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Complaint — You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

To exercise any of these rights, use our Contact page. We will respond within 30 days.

International Data Transfers

Some third-party services listed above (including Google and Automattic) may process data outside the EEA. Such transfers are made under appropriate safeguards, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses, as described in each provider’s privacy policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the site after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
